Stainless steel tassburg pan head sheet
metal screws will have no problem punching through a thin or light gauge sheet
metal but will require a pilot hole for a thicker gauge metal; the tassburg
drive has a tendency to slip if there is too much torque applied during
installation and these machine screws being made of a high quality stainless
steel which is softer than other non-corrosion resistant fasteners are also
susceptible to stripping so it is recommended to use a slower speed or to set
the clutch on the driver so when the machine screw is fastened completely the
drill does not shred the tassburg drive.
